Mark your calendar for the 2013 Annual Meeting & Expo to be held at the historic Fairmont San Francisco in San Francisco, California, April 21st to 24th.
I am challenging the NASBP membership to embrace the theme of my presidency and “raise the bar”. This is a time when we must battle to protect our product from nefarious attacks and expand our efforts in the political arena on national, state and local fronts. I also challenge each of you to increase your level of activity in NASBP this coming year by doing just one more activity or program. By doing so, collectively we will be "raising the bar.”
In 2013 we have planned a program that will provide you with critical information for the year ahead. The keynote presentation will be given by John Mauldin, a renowned financial expert, a New York Times best-selling author, an online commentator, and the publisher of the most widely-read investment newsletter in the world.
We have a diverse line-up of breakout sessions on sales leadership, an update to what is new in commercial surety, a panel on federal contracting and a session on technology focusing on mobile tablet technology. In addition, we will have an presentation on bonding private-public partnerships that will offer continuing education (CE) credit.
The meeting concludes on Tuesday night with a black tie banquet dinner. If you do not have a tuxedo, do not worry. There will be a rental service especially for NASBP with pick-up and drop-off service at the hotel. The band "Pride and Joy" is the best dance band in the Bay Area and known for getting everyone out on the dance floor.
The Fairmont San Francisco is a truly historic property. Built at the top of famous Nob Hill, it is centrally located for all of the city’s best attractions. Do not miss your opportunity to bring your family to this very special venue.
I encourage you to take a moment today to register for this year’s meeting and I look forward to seeing you in San Francisco.
