The event will begin the evening of Tuesday, June 5, at a pre-Fly-in reception at the Liaison Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., during which NASBP will review talking points for Fly-in attendees.
Plans are underway to feature a round-table panel discussion where key policy makers from the House Small Business Committee will discuss regulatory and legislative changes to expand opportunities for U.S. small businesses.The House Small Business Committee round-table panel discussion will begin the morning of Wednesday, June 6 at 8 a.m. on Capitol hill at 121 Cannon House Office Building, where invited guests include:
- Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, Steve Chabot (R-OH-1st) (confirmed)
- Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee Nydia Velazquez (D-NY-7th) (confirmed)
- Chairman of the Subcommittee on Contracting and Workforce Steve Knight (R-CA-25th) (confirmed)
- Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Contracting and Workforce Stephanie Murphy(D-FL-7th) (invited)
This is an excellent opportunity for NASBP fly-in attendees to learn firsthand what these key policymakers are contemplating and debating during committee deliberations relating to U.S. small businesses After the panel has concluded, the rest of the day will be devoted to your Capitol Hill appointments.
