NASBP & SFAA support Security in Bonding Act that protects small businesses, taypayer funds

NASBP and SFAA as well as nine construction and insurance organizations support legislation, H.R. 3534, introduced yesterday by U.S. Representatives Richard Hanna (R-NY) and Mick Mulvaney (R-SC).

The groups commend the Congressmen for proposing the "Security in Bonding Act," that provides needed and common-sense repairs to a procurement system that can permit gamesmanship and the acceptance of surety bonds with deficient assets, often to the detriment of the many small businesses furnishing labor, materials, and equipment on federal construction projects.

Attached is the press release.
