Level III

 


Level III is intended for those individuals who have attended the Level II School (or have a mastery of the content taught in the Level II School) and have 5+ years of experience in the surety industry. The curriculum will include the following topics: Advanced Financial Analysis and Underwriting; Marketing and Sales Strategies; Advanced Commercial Surety – Managing Large Accounts; Insurance/Risk Transfer/Risk Management; Strategic Industry Issues. The three-day school is an intense, interactive experience.

This course is rated "advanced." It is intended for the student who has significant knowledge of the subject matter or who has significant experience with the subject matter.

Priority Registration for NASBP members, affiliates and associates for the Summer 2017 session, to be held Aug. 2-4 in Dallas, is now open.

The cost for NASBP members, affiliates and associates is $1,850.

The cost for non-members is $3,700. 

Please note: Registration is not considered complete until the fee is paid and the student information survey is completed. This short survey is designed to gauge each participant’s level of surety knowledge and help our Surety School faculty tailor each class to the participants. It is not a test. It should be returned to the Professional Development Department at prodev@nasbp.org no later than Monday, July 10, 2017.

All cancellations must be sent in writing to NASBP at mthomas@nasbp.org or via fax at (202) 686-3656. For a full refund, a written cancellation must be received 30 calendar days prior to the start of the event. Cancellations received between 15 - 29 days prior to the event are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations received in less than 15 calendar days prior to the event are not eligible for refunds. All refunds will be issued by check and a 5% processing fee will be deducted from purchases made with a credit card.

Hotel Information

School attendees are responsible for making their own sleeping room accommodations with the Westin Dallas Galleria by calling 888-627-8536 and saying they are with the NASBP Surety School. NASBP has secured a discounted room rate of $139/night plus taxes. All students must reserve their room by Monday, July 10, 2017 in order to receive this special rate.

Continuing Education Credits:

The Angell-Curtin Advanced Surety School - Level III has been approved by the state insurance/financial services department/commissioner/continuing education committee in each state for the amount of Property/Casualty Insurance continuing education credits listed below.

In order to receive credits, students must sign in at the beginning of each day's class and sign out at the end of each day's class. Students must attend all 3 days' classes in order to receive the credits; no partial credit is awarded. There is not a final exam. Note: If you would like to receive CE credits, please do not make travel arrangements that will require you to leave the hotel before 5:00 p.m. on Friday (we suggest no flights earlier than 8:00 p.m.).
