NASBP Fly-in To Feature Key Legislators and Family Fun

Fly-in-halls-Lynne-and-group.jpgThe 2017 Fly-in will be held June 6 to 7, featuring a roundtable panel discussion focused on infrastructure spending. To help gain insight into the much-anticipated, large infrastructure spending package, NASBP has assembled several key policymakers. The roundtable panel discussion will begin the morning of Wednesday, June 7 at 8 a.m. on Capitol Hill, where invited guests include Chairman of the U.S. House Transportation & Infrastructure (T&I) Committee, Bill Shuster (R-PA 9th), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, Sam Graves (R-MO 6th) (confirmed), and Representative Scott Perry (R-PA 4th) (confirmed) who serves on T&I’s Subcommittee on Aviation. NASBP is also in the process of securing a Democrat from the T&I Committee as well. This is an excellent opportunity for NASBP Fly-in attendees to learn what these key policymakers are contemplating and debating during committee deliberations relating to infrastructure spending. After the panel has concluded, the rest of the day will be devoted to Capitol Hill appointments that Members, Affiliates, and Associates have with their members of Congress.

Also, new for 2017 is the “NASBP Family Day” for those attendees who would like to bring their children with them to experience the workings of government, “NASBP Family Day” will take place the morning of Tuesday, June 6, which will include breakfast and tours of important landmarks in Washington, DC. More information on the Family Day itinerary will be coming soon.
