More than 100 students from across the nation, Canada, and Germany attended the William J. Angell Surety School  held in January in Sugar Land, TX.

At every NASBP school, the students in each class identify the student who they consider to be the most outstanding pupil (MOP) to receive a memento signed by all the members of the class and faculty. Receiving the coveted football in Level I Red Team was Christian Bloecher of R+V Versicherung AG, Wiesbaden, Germany. The Level I Yellow Team chose Kevin Lawrence of Crum & Forster, Coral Springs, FL. Level II Blue Team selected Kevin Cahill of Western Surety Company, Dartmouth, NS; and Level II Green Team selected David Mehlbaum of M&T Insurance Agency, Inc., Syracuse, NY.

Dedi_and_Matt_2.pngAs a small way of saying thank you for their hard work and dedication to NASBP, faculty members are given a crystal apple in recognition of every five years of service. This winter, two faculty members received service awards: Jeff Broyles for five years of service and Matt Cashion for 30 years of service. Congratulations and thank you for your many years of service to NASBP and the surety industry!

NASBP would like to thank the NASBP Members and Affiliates who helped teach the school, dedicating their time and expertise once again for the benefit of NASBP, of the next generation of bond producers, underwriters, and of the surety industry as a whole!
