November 10 NASBP Virtual Event to Feature Election Results Panel Discussion, Expert on Managing Stress

NASBP is excited to announce the final event in the 2020 Virtual Event series: 
November Virtual Event: Managing Stress and What’s Next! Join us on Tuesday, November 10 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:25 p.m. ET for two timely keynote sessions.


John BustardTo kick off the Virtual Event, NASBP Immediate Past President John Bustard will welcome attendees and offer opening remarks. 










The first keynote session is titled, "What Every Contractor and Surety Professional Needs to Know About the Election Results And Plenty More." Don't miss this dynamic panel of construction industry lobbyists who will share their thoughts on state and federal election results and the impact of the election results on their respective organizations. Join us and learn what these experts envision might be in store in 2021 in statehouses throughout the country and on Capitol Hill relating to construction and contracting. Participants will also learn what to expect when the new Congress takes the oath of office in January 2021 for the first session of the 117th Congress. The idea for this post-election panel discussion was developed by the NASBP Directors-At-Large.Session 1 Panelists

Panelists will include:
  • Dana Thompson, Washington Representative from the Women Construction Owners & Executives (photo top left)
  • John "JB" Byrd, representing the National Society of Professional Surveyors (photo top right)
  • Jordan Howard, representing Associated General Contractors of America (photo bottom left)
  • Mike Oscar, representing the American Subcontractors Association (photo bottom right)


Larry LeClairLarry LeClair, NASBP Director of Government Relations, will moderate the panel discussion.











Dr. Will MillerThe second keynote session is titled "Coping with Stress During the Pandemic Crisis: A Focus on Personal and Professional Health." Keynote speaker Dr. Will Miller will offer advice for living a well-adjusted life during a time of pressure and uncertainty. His experience as a professor, psychotherapist, stress counselor, and stand-up comedian give him a unique and relatable message. The idea for this session was developed by the NASBP 5-15 Leadership Committee.






NASBP President Mark MunekawaNASBP President Mark Munekawa will offer closing remarks at the end of this NASBP Virtual Event.










As with previous NASBP Virtual Events in this series, the November events are free for all NASBP Members, Affiliates, and Associates. There is a nominal fee for any non-member registrations.
