Propel Insurance Holds Creative Contest to Promote NASBP’s SuretyLearn.org

NASBP is pleased to recognize Propel Insurance, a Northwest-based member firm, for its creative contest to promote the NASBP SuretyLearn.org website. The SuretyLearn.org website orients small and emerging contractors to the basics of bonding and of what is needed to achieve surety credit. Resources at the website include a link to an online bonding orientation course; informative articles, checklists, questionnaires, and slide presentations; links to government agencies and pertinent assistance programs; and a directory of service providers who specialize in serving these contractors.

To provide a tangible incentive to promote the website, Eric Zimmerman, who also serves on the NASBP Industry Relations Committee, offered employees in the Propel Bond Department a Starbucks gift certificate for recommending clients to the many resources available at www.SuretyLearn.org. A huge shout out to Julie Truitt, pictured below, from the Propel Bond Department for recommending 16 clients to www.SuretyLearn.org! In addition, Truitt also scripted the email introduction that Propel has started using to promote the website to its clients.

Zimmerman noted that “the Starbucks gift cards certainly helped give some incentive. But truth be told Julie just likes to win at anything regardless of the prize!”

Thank you, everyone at Propel! NASBP encourages other NASBP Members, Affiliates, and Associates to take a page out of Zimmerman's and Truitt’s promotional book and institute a robust SuretyLearn.org promotional contest at their firms.

In 2016, SuretyLearn.org will feature a new look and new resources for your use in educating small and emerging contractors.
