2018 Annual Meeting & Expo is Just Around the Corner

cover-2018annl.jpgApril is right around the corner and the NASBP 2018 Annual Meeting & Expo will be held April 29 to May 2 at The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. The session programming promises to provide valuable take away information, focusing on this year’s theme of: “Building on a Solid Foundation.”

Session topics in Scottsdale will include a motivating keynote address on leadership in tough situations from Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) US Army Special Force Scott Mann. The program also will cover current industry topics, including captive insurance programs and their impact on the surety underwriting process; internet security and how to protect your vital company information from hackers; and a session on the new and evolving model of public-private partnerships, which will be offered twice and qualifies for continuing education credits. There also will be a very engaging session Tuesday morning on federal surety fraud investigations and convictions that touch on two different cases, the evidence collected for them, and how these fraudulent actors were brought to justice.

There will be some new additions to the meeting schedule this year, including a “happy hour” event in the Expo Hall on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 4 p.m. and an awards breakfast on Tuesday morning, which starts at 8 am.
