Welcome the New NASBP Staff

NASBP is pleased to announce the following new staff members, Turquoise Adams and Chastity Murphy, have joined the NASBP team!

On March 5, Turquoise Adams joined the NASBP team. Adams brings with her several years of experience in non-profits and associations where she developed skills in a wide range of areas including coordinating projects, research, clerical duties, problem-solving, and customer service. As NASBP’s Education Specialist, her responsibilities include coordination of NASBP’s Virtual Seminars, registration, and other logistics associated with NASBP Surety School, workshops, and meetings.

Adams is a 2014 graduate of the University of District of Columbia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and is pursuing her Masters in Project Management at the University of Maryland University College. She can be reached at tadams@nasbp.org or 240.200.1277.

On April 9, NASBP welcomed its newest member to the team, Chastity Murphy, who comes to NASBP from the office of U.S. House of Representative Marcia Fudge (D-OH 11th), where her duties included legislative correspondence and constituent requests on behalf of Rep. Fudge. As NASBP’s Advocacy Specialist, her responsibilities include monitoring state legislative and regulatory activity, serving as staff liaison to NASBP committees, such as the Small & Emerging Business and International Committees, co-authoring state legislative alerts and newsletters, such as the legislative bulletin, NASBP Focal Point, and establishing and maintain working relationships with allied organizations and state stakeholder organizations.

Murphy is a 2015 graduate of South Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and is pursuing her MBA at American University. She can be reached at cmurphy@nasbp.org or 240.200.1273.
