Hello Surety Friends,
Believe it or not the NASBP 2019 Annual Meeting & Expo is just around the corner.
April 14-17, 2019 we will be gathering at the fabulous JW Marriott in the heart of downtown Austin Texas. Austin is a fantastic venue as the “Live Music Capitol of the World” with a vibrant downtown area and an eclectic Texas experience!! There are great restaurants and a world class food truck scene. The unofficial city moto gives you some of that flavor with “Keep Austin Weird.”
With my theme of “Sell More Bonds”, along with the advertising and marketing initiative, NASBP has been undertaking on behalf of all of us, we will be providing you with some diverse speakers and presentations giving you things to think about and take away for your customers.
The meeting will have a casual and western vibe. Bring your boots, your rodeo belt buckle, and your string tie. Denim will reign supreme for any and all events!! FYI, the “Texas Tuxedo” consists of boots, wranglers, button-down shirt and sport coat accessorized however you like, and it applies to men and women.
We will kick the meeting off on Sunday evening with a welcome reception on the roof top pool deck, a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and network with new ones. Our Tuesday evening closing event will be different with an offsite event at Stubbs Bar-B-Q
. See their web site FAQ where they address their dress code. We will have a band playing a mix of country and dance favorites for those who want to bring their dancing boots, but it is a large site and there will be something for everyone including a mechanical bull, a world-class corn hole tournament (more details to come), authentic local food trucks set up for desert and a quiet area to take a break and catch up.
Put it on your calendar NOW and get your hotel room secured. NASBP registration will open up online the first week of 2019. Look for future updates on the NASBP website. You will not want to miss the opportunity to Keep Surety Weird.
