Mark your calendar for the first
joint NASBP and SFAA Virtual Legislative Fly-in that will be held on March 25, 2021 and
register by the deadline of March 11!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NASBP and The Surety & Fidelity Association of America (SFAA) will conduct a virtual fly-in, an effective tool for constituents to communicate with their elected officials, while adhering to social distancing protocols and eliminating the need for long-distance travel.
The 2021 virtual NASBP and SFFA Legislative Fly-in will enable NASBP and SFAA members to engage in policy discussions with U.S. Congressional offices that otherwise would not be possible. Your participation as a surety advocate is critical to ensure federal policymakers on Capitol Hill understand the significant role bonds play to
protect taxpayer funds and to advance public works infrastructure projects. The new Congress will include a large freshman class, so it will be important for NASBP and SFAA members to become acquainted with these newly elected officials.
NASBP’s consultant will schedule the virtual congressional meetings. Though no travel is necessary to participate, registration is required. This event is free for NASBP Members, Affiliates, and Associates and SFAA members. Please complete the
registration form by the
deadline of March 11 to ensure the consultant has time to schedule your appointments with your members of Congress.
On Monday, March 22, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern NASBP Government Relations Director Larry LeClair and SFAA Director of Government Affairs Dalton DeFendis will hold a briefing session dedicated to the talking points participants will need to be familiar with prior to their Fly-in appointments later that week.NASBP will provide more information on the
