Winter School Outstanding Students Recognized

NASBP William J. Angell Surety School Winter Outstanding Students Recognized

The January NASBP Surety School winter offering in Houston, Texas welcomed 60 Level I students and 52 Level II students. The Level III School was not held during the Winter School.

At every NASBP School session the students in each class identify a fellow student whom they consider to be the most valued contributor to receive as a memento, a football that is signed by all the members of the class.

In Level I, the Red Team selected Raleigh Roussell of Mullis Newby Hurst in Addison, Texas, and the Yellow Team chose Elizabeth Trujillo from Great America Insurance Company in Boston, Massachusetts. The Level II Blue Team voted for Ryan Shinkle from Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services in Lafayette, Louisiana to receive the coveted football, and the Green Team chose John Rogers of Insurance Agency of Mid-America in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Each class's most valued contributor is pictured below holding the football and with their class's instructors.

Priority Registration Open for Summer School Session

Registration is now open for members, affiliates, and associates for the 2014 Summer Session of the NASBP Surety School, which will be held at the Westin Gaslamp hotel in San Diego. The NASBP membership is encouraged to register now because space is limited. The dates are: Level I, Aug. 3 to 6; Level II, Aug. 3 to 8; and Level III, Aug. 5 to 8.

NASBP's new Level III School addresses more complex topics suitable for producers and underwriters who have mastered the material taught in Level II or who have five-plus years of industry experience. This will be the second offering of the NASBP Angell-Curtin Advanced Surety School Level III since it premiered last summer. The positive response to its launch in 2013 is a good indicator that this 2014 session of the Level III will fill-up quickly.
