5-15 Leadership Committee
NASBP's 5-15 Leadership Committee was created to provide opportunities for high-potential surety professionals with five to 15 years of surety producer/agent experience to help them prepare for senior leadership positions within their organizations and NASBP. The 5-15 Leadership Committee Mission Statement is:
To identify, cultivate, and provide opportunities to the future leaders of our Association.
The continuously evolving program encourages its Members to be actively involved in the work of NASBP, provides them with access to thought leaders in the surety industry, and offers them unique educational and networking opportunities. The committee is separated into two categories: the 5-15 Leadership Candidate and the 5-15 Leadership Committee Member.
What 5-15 Leadership Committee Members and Candidates have to say:
“Being a member of the 5-15 committee has been invaluable to my career and personal growth. You gain the unique opportunity to see the inner workings of the NASBP leadership team and overall organization. In addition, you have access to some of the industries most knowledgeable individuals on both the producer and surety sides of the table. Personally, it opened the door for me to join the NASBP leadership team and create some long-lasting friendships within industry.”

Heidi Rodzen, Skillings Shaw & Associates, Inc.
“Joining the 5-15 Leadership Committee has been a great way to supercharge my NASBP experience. I’m meeting more people more quickly than I would have otherwise and getting experience with all the other committees and offerings NASBP can provide.”

Chase Stoneback, Marsh McLennan Agency
"The 5-15 group is where I started to become more aware of the different functions at NASBP. Since joining, I have been more events like the DC Fly-In, Surety home office visits and an understanding of the future of the industry. Invaluable experiences that will strengthen your knowledge and career."

Timothy Bowen, EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants
"The 5-15 Committee offers a unique opportunity to drive the Surety Industry forward while connecting with like-minded professionals. As a leader in evolving industry trends, NASBP provides this committee a valuable way to deepen engagement and make a lasting impact."

Will Kantlehner, Gallagher - Louisville
"I joined the 5-15 Leadership Committee several years ago and it has been a real contribution to my professional career. I’ve been able to develop relationships with other producers from across the country who have been a resource when needed. As a 5-15 member I have had the opportunity to attend home office visits where I’ve met home office underwriters and heads of sureties which builds credibility with clients. Membership in the 5-15 Leadership committee has been a great opportunity to serve our industry through serving NASBP. Over the years doors have been opened to contribute to other committees including the board of directors. If you’re looking for ways to continually improve your acumen and your resume, I highly recommend the 5-15 Leadership Committee. "

Paul Gilcrease, HUB International Texas Inc.
"Being an active member, the 5-15 Committee has brought me tremendous opportunities that I would not have really engaged with otherwise, such as joining the commercial surety committee, participating in the Fly-In, and meeting some of the best in the industry."

Anna Childress, McGriff, a Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC Company
"The 5-15 leadership committee has provided me with immeasurable benefits both personally and professionally. The group has allowed me to connect with colleagues across the Country who are in similar positions within their agencies and careers. Through the committee I have expanded my involvement within the NASBP association and surety industry in general. I have participated in the Annual Meeting, Mid-Year Meeting, Annual Legislative Fly-In and Mentor/Mentee Programs. I look forward to my continued involvement and growth within the group in years to come."

Lauren Seege, USI Insurance Services
"5-15 has been an absolute game changer in my career. The committee has not only introduced me to a group of motivated, knowledgeable peers across the country, but also provided me with introductions to the highest levels of leadership within our surety partners. I would wholeheartedly recommend getting involved with 5-15 to anyone looking to further reinvest in their surety career."
