CPA Advisory Council Mission Statement

The NASBP CPA Advisory Council is constituted for the purpose of serving as a resource team to NASBP and providing substantive content to NASBP for articles, programs, and presentations on tax and other financial issues regarding surety and government contract topics for the betterment of the surety industry.

The seven accountants who serve on the CPAAC:

  • provide articles for the various NASBP publications, including Surety Bond Quarterly and Pipeline,
  • participate in NASBP Virtual Seminars and Podcast episodes,
  • develop materials for SuretyLearn,
  • assist in developing various online courses, and
  • provide in-person presentations on various topics at the Annual Meeting, Regional Meetings, and special conferences and seminars.

The NASBP CPA Advisory Council participants coordinate their NASBP activities with Kathy Hoffman, NASBP Director of Communications. They kindly serve on the CPAAC as volunteers and receive no compensation for their time and services. In addition, participants on the CPAAC are not expected to furnish accounting services to NASBP Members, Affiliates, and Associates when solely acting in their volunteer roles on the CPAAC.

NASBP is grateful to the CPAAC

NASBP is grateful to the CPAAC for  providing materials and educational offerings for NASBP Members, Affiliates, Associates, and the public about tax and other financial issues regarding surety.
