What Does Level II Cover?

Level II is intended for the bond producer/underwriter/account manager with one to six years of experience. The curriculum includes intensive training in: contractor profiling, detailed financial analysis, concepts and effective practices of account activation and service, claims handling, industry marketplace changes, and ethics. The week-long school emphasizes the relationship between the producer, surety, and contractor, techniques for gathering information about the contractor, and preparation of the case submission to the surety. The curriculum culminates in a real-time, interactive case presentation, causing students to draw on concepts, applications, and methodologies presented during the entire program.

This course is rated as "intermediate." It is intended for the student who has a basic knowledge of the subject matter and/ or some experience with the subject matter.

Please note: Registration is not considered complete until the fee is paid and the student information survey is complete. This short survey is designed to gauge each participant’s level of surety knowledge and help our Surety School faculty tailor each class to the participants. It is not a test.  It will be emailed to each registrant to complete in May 2025.

All cancellations and transfers must be sent in writing to NASBP at prodev@nasbp.org. Requests for transfers to alternate classes at the same event, future events, or to another employee of the same company are considered case-by-case. For a full refund, written cancellation must be received 30 calendar days before the start of the event. Cancellations received between 15 - 29 days before the event are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations received in less than 15 calendar days before the event, or on registrations that have been transferred to a later event are not eligible for refunds. All refunds will be charged a 5% processing fee.

NASBP GROUP Rate:  $229, plus applicable taxes

Even though NASBP has a block of rooms available at the special NASBP group rate, these rooms could sell out before the hotel room cut-off date of Friday, June 27, 2025.  All Students are responsible for making their own room reservations. Room reservations are held on a first-come, first-served basis and NASBP cannot guarantee an accommodation once the room block is sold out.

To avoid disappointment at not getting into the hotel, please secure your hotel room as soon as possible.

Continuing Education Credit

NASBP applies for and works to maintain approval by the state insurance/financial services department/commissioner/continuing education committee in each state, the CE's amounts from the most recent approvals of the  William J. Angell Surety School - Level II for the amount of Property/Casualty Insurance continuing education credits listed below. (The CE amounts and approvals listed below are subject to change as courses are renewed)

To receive credits, students must sign in at the beginning of each day's class and sign out at the end of each day's class. Students must attend all 5 days of class to receive the credits; no partial credit is awarded. There is no final exam. Note: If you would like to receive CE credits, please do not make travel arrangements that will require you to leave the hotel before 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday (we suggest no flights earlier than 8:00 p.m.).
