About the Event

The Federal Legislative Fly-in plays an important advocacy role in NASBP’s Government Relations Program, as it allows NASBP members and staff to engage in policy discussions with congressional offices that may otherwise not be possible without member’s involvement.

Please join us in the nation's capitol, February 26 & 27 for a two-day event filled with networking and advocacy opportunities. The Federal Legislative Fly-in will provide you the opportunity to voice your support for the surety bond product in the aftermath of the 2024 General Elections. Your participation as a surety advocate is critically important in helping federal policymakers (new and returning) understand the significant role bonds play on federal construction projects.

For 2025, Federal Legislative Fly-in festivities begin at 2pm on Wednesday, February 26th, as part of the “WASHINGTON PROGRAM,” where former Congressman and U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, who served from 2009 - 2013 under the Obama Administration, will share his observations on politics, the nation's economy and it's infrastructure.

Following Secretary LaHood's presentation, a panel of Capitol Hill staffers will offer their observations of what might be in store for the first session of the 119th Congress.
