NASBP January Surety School Attendance Is Testimony that Surety Professionals’ Education Remains A Priority
While many associations’ educational programs are experiencing declining attendance, the NASBP William J. Angell Surety School filled two sections of Level I and Level II in January in Houston, Texas. It is a credit to our industry that even during times of economic uncertainty the wisdom of educating up-and-coming professionals remains paramount. Those attending knew they could count on getting the same nationally acclaimed educational experience the School is renowned for – thanks to the dedication, experience, and teaching skill of the faculty.Level I faculty included Paul Amstutz, Dedi Belis, Erle Benton, Matt Cashion, Dave Castillo, and Tom Padilla. Level II received instruction from Paul Amstutz, Dave Castillo, Matt Cashion, Tom Durkin, Ed Heine, Bud Herndon, Jim Lareau, Bill Maroney, Larry McMahon, Tom Padilla, Ralph Pulver, and Bob Shaw.

Each class selected from among its peers an Outstanding Student – recognized at graduation. Level I Red Team selected Cullen Piske of The Gray Casualty & Surety Company. Level I Yellow Team chose Rebecca Gwynn from Beecher Carlson Insurance Agency, LLC.

The Level II Blue Team identified as their Outstanding Student James Noe with Neace Lukens Insurance. From the Level II Green Team, Blair Wilson of Export Development Canada was selected.

Congratulations to all graduating students, and thanks to our faculty for their outstanding leadership and generosity of time and talent.
