2011 American Arbitration Association Construction Conference – April 1
On Friday, April 1, 2011, the American Arbitration Association (AAA), in cooperation with NASBP and 10 other law and construction-oriented organizations, will be holding its Construction Conference in Santa Monica, CA at the Doubletree Guest Suites. This years’ Conference is titled “Mediation: It’s Not New, So What’s Next?” and will include five panel discussions covering various aspects of how mediation is being used to mitigate and resolve disputes in the construction industry. The current economic conditions in relation to construction and claims will also be a focus of the conference.
The five panel topics consist of:
- Corporate counsel mediation strategies
- The intricacies of effective multi-party mediation
- How green claims may change the mediation process
- Alternative mediation procedures such as arbitration/mediation and mediation/arbitration
- How to make sure the mediator is more than a settlement broker
Join noted construction industry professionals at the conference to gain insight on the current dynamics of the mediation process in resolving disputes and claims now that mediation has become the mainstream process used in resolution for the construction industry.
