NASBP launched its Attorney Advisory Council (AAC) in March 2015, and based on the success of the AAC, it initiated its CPA Advisory Council (CPAAC) in 2016. The success of these two Councils is evidenced by the outstanding and numerous articles in Surety Bond Quarterly and in Pipeline, by the excellent Virtual Seminars, and by the valuable in–person presentations provided to NASBP by the Councils’ participants. Indeed, the Councils were constituted to serve as a “resource team to NASBP;” and the participants—and their colleagues—have fulfilled that mission admirably and plentifully.

NASBP is pleased to announce that, beginning in May 2019, the following exceptional attorneys became new participants on the AAC: Todd Braggins, Managing Partner at Ernstrom & Dreste in Rochester, NY; Tim Heffernan, Senior Partner at Watt Tieder in McLean, VA; and Mike Zisa, Chair–Surety and Construction Related Insurance Defense at Peckar & Abramson in Washington, DC. At the same time the following highly regarded CPAs became new participants on the CPAAC: Marty McCarthy, Managing Partner at McCarthy & Company in Lafayette, PA; and Joe Natarelli, Office Managing Partner of Marcum LLP in New Haven, CT.

NASBP wishes to gratefully acknowledge and thank all the participants on the AAC and the CPAAC for their support (past, present, and future) in enhancing NASBP’s already robust educational content and offerings. In particular, NASBP wishes to extend its gratitude to two superb attorneys–and gentlemen–rolling off the AAC to seek new challenges and other industry adventures: Adrian Bastianelli at Peckar & Abramson in Washington, DC, and Jay Labe at Allen & Curry in Denver, CO.
