The recently launched Make Surety a Career Program provides university instructors and college students with free resources to learn more about surety bonding, including classroom curriculum and an online course geared toward college students, all of which are readily accessible from the NASBP website at https://learn.nasbp.org/MakeSuretyACareer.

A critical component of the Program is the option for college students, who complete the contract surety online course, to request consideration for an available internship or position with a surety agency or surety company. Internships often are formative experiences for those fortunate to find them and can be powerful attracters of talent to our industry. The Program already has witnessed success, placing deserving recent graduates in beginning surety underwriting positions. NASBP anticipates more students throughout the country will complete the Program and be seeking an internship.

If your agency or company offers or is willing to offer internship experiences for college students, consider participating in the Make Surety a Career Program. The same can be said if your agency or company is looking for a recent graduate interested in a surety career, consider participating in the Make Surety a Career Program. Expressions of interest may be directed to prodev@nasbp.org. Let us know the best contact at your agency or company for internships and/or surety professional opportunities, as well as pertinent information regarding the opportunity, and NASBP will provide the information to interested students.
