The Summer Session of the NASBP William J. Angell Surety School took place August 4-9 in Reston, VA. It was a very busy week, as the NASBP Surety School hosted Contract Surety Level I, Level II, and Level III, as well as NASBP Commercial Surety School Level II! The experienced surety school faculty guided an attentive 159 students through a rigorous and engaging educational program.
In addition to providing an immense amount of educational content, the School also fosters strong bonds between students and faculty. At the close of this 3-to-5-day educational experience, students are asked to select among their classmates the Most Outstanding Pupil (MOP) who will be given the moment (a football or hard hat) signed by all the students and faculty in their class.
Receiving the coveted football in Level I was Carla Burton of RLI Insurance Company in Peoria, IL.

Contract Level II’s Blue Team picked Carlos Negron of United Insurance Agency in San Juan, PR to received the signed football. 
The Green Team of Contract Level II selected Abigail Freeman of McCown Gordon Construction in Kansas City, MO, as the MOP. 
Contract Level III selected Dulce Huggins of Flood & Peterson Insurance in Greeley, CO to receive the signed hard hat.

The Commercial Surety School Level II class chose Shawn Wiggins of The Hartford in Houston, TX, as the MOP.
