NASBP Surety Bond Quarterly Special Supplements Offer Expertise and Insights for the Surety Industry
The fall 2025 NASBP Surety Bond Quarterly Special Supplement, “The Critical Expertise of Surety Industry Service Providers,” offers the perspectives of CPAs, attorneys, technology providers, funds control companies, and more. They discuss current trends and topics in the surety industry and how their companies offer assistance to bond producers and sureties as well as their clients.
The winter 2025 NASBP Surety Bond Quarterly Special Supplement, “What Surety Executives Are Pondering As We Turn the Corner to Begin 2026” features NASBP surety executives discussing current trends in the surety industry and what they are expecting for the future. They highlight the importance of recruiting and retaining talent, knowledge transfer, and surety as a career choice for college graduates and young professionals. The executives also discuss market volatility, claims activity, lessons learned in 2025, and much more!
2025 NASBP Highlights: The Year in Review
Highlights uses 2025-2026 NASBP President Robert Coon’s theme of “Building Better” to tell the story of 2025. The different sections of Highlights show the ways that the NASBP membership and staff are “Building Better” and advancing suretyship: Promoting surety careers and providing surety education; Recognizing and strengthening the surety community; Encouraging technology advancement and innovation; Advocating for surety interests; and Engaging stakeholders and communicating the value of surety bonding.
NASBP launched the “Make Surety a Career” Program in 2025, featuring a curriculum packet for college and university professors looking to incorporate a surety component to their insurance or business classes and a free, online course designed for college students or recent graduates who are interested in learning more about surety and surety careers.
NASBP’s meetings and events were a great way to network and strengthen relationships this year. The 2025 NASBP Annual Meeting in Nashville, TN, had record attendance, with over 1,000 participants! The NASBP Fall Meetings offered new “Cocktails and Convos” events that were well attended, with over 220 participants over the two meetings. Both the winter and summer sessions of the William J. Angell Surety School sold out, and the Federal Legislative Fly-in had solid attendance and over 130 meetings.
The NASBP membership built relationships and partnerships to strengthen the surety industry—look for details on work with XBRL US, The Institutes RiskStream Collaborative, local and international surety associations, and others.
NASBP recognized the membership for its hard work this year and beyond, celebrated 15 years of NASBP SmartBrief e-newsletter, helped the membership navigate AI use in surety, and much more!
