Two NASBP Regional Meetings were held this September. The first was the Regions 1, 2, & 3 Annual Meeting, held outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Hyatt Tamaya Resort & Spa and hosted by Region 3 Director, Don Appleby. One of the sessions included a presentation from Ed Rubacha on bonding tribal entities. The final event featured Traditional Pueblo Dancers and a Native American themed menu.

September wrapped up with the Regions 4, 5, 6 & 7 Annual Meeting obtaining nearly record-breaking registration numbers at the Barton Creek Resort in Austin, Texas. Region 5 Director, Jason Gusso hosted the meeting which featured Keynote Speaker Jim Owen, a former Wall Street banker turned author and founder of the “Center for Cowboy Ethics.” Owen described the universal cowboy values that are still relevant to our lives today and concluded his presentation with a book signing. The meeting ended with a Texas BBQ at the Resort’s “Rock House.”
