The 2024 NASBP Annual Meeting & Expo at the JW Marriott Austin in Austin, TX enjoyed another year of record-breaking attendance. The NASBP membership was “ALL IN” for the informative presentations on a number of timely topics. The meeting had a lot of fun, too, with the ALL IN Texas Hold ‘Em Themed Event, the Affiliate Entertaining events, and the final event held at Speakeasy Austin.

NASBP’s Kat Shamapande and Mark McCallum recorded multiple episodes of NASBP Podcast “Let’s Get Surety” live at the 2024 NASBP Annual Meeting. Guests included 2024-2025 NASBP President Zach Mendelson, Tiger Trust Award winner Kevin Garrity, the panelists from Suffolk, and many others!

 

 

 

 

 

NASBP was pleased there was another well-attended Women in Surety (WIS) Networking Reception held during the 2024 Annual Meeting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tuesday’s keynote speaker, Caren Kelleher, shared her journey from Google executive to small business owner in her presentation “From Silicon Valley to Vinyl: Finding a New Groove in a Timeless Industry.”

 

 

 

 

 

The Pribyls welcomed incoming NASBP President Zach Mendelson.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Spouses and guests were treated to a unique Charcuterie Creations class where they learned about creating a balanced charcuterie spread and got to leave with their delicious creation!

 

 

 

 

 

Joan Woodward, Executive Vice President of Public Policy at Travelers, closed out the general session with her presentation, “Woodward on Washington: An Economic, Policy, and Political Outlook.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

There was a big crowd for the final hands at the ALL IN Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament-themed event. Congratulations to winner Heidi Rodzen!
