Throughout the year, NASBP undertook unique and robust initiatives to meet the needs and interests of the NASBP community well into the future.
For the first-time in the Association’s history, NASBP has retained a public relations firm to conduct research and to develop deliverables for a public relations campaign to benefit NASBP members and the surety product. This fall, NASBP launched the first phase of this campaign to obtain quantitative research to ensure accurate and effective messaging to opinion elites and decision-makers. Other unique initiatives NASBP has undertaken this year include releasing NASBP’s first Joint Ventures for Construction online continuing education course; providing an amendment to the U.S. House National Defense Authorization Act that removes the Miller Act from periodic threshold increases as required under Title 41; delivering a Surety Innovation Center featuring cutting-edge technology in development that will advance the industry; reaching out and collaborating in new ways with construction industry organizations and service providers; and celebrating NASBP’s 75 years of existence…
