DEAR NASBP COMMUNITY,
NASBP is a dynamic and positive force that has shaped my professional career for which I am truly thankful. Like me, those actively engaged in NASBP initiatives and activities know how the organization, through its dedicated volunteer leaders and staff, constantly works to promote and to advance the interests of bond producers and of the larger surety community. When I think of the NASBP, I see a thriving association that is “Building Better” to realize a bright future for its membership.
What do I mean by NASBP “Building Better?” NASBP advances suretyship in many ways and through many channels, but I think most, if not all, fall into five points of Building Better: Promoting surety careers and providing surety education; Recognizing and strengthening the surety community; Encouraging technology advancement and innovation; Advocating for surety interests; and Engaging stakeholders and communicating the value of surety bonding. Each of these points of Building Better are highlighted—through words, data, and images—in the following pages of this The Year in Review 2025 publication.
Once you review this information, I am sure you will agree with me that NASBP forms a special community, remarkable not only for the many relationships formed and accomplishments realized but for the community’s unwavering commitment to Building Better for the benefit of the whole surety ecosystem.
I extend my sincere appreciation to my fellow officers, the Board of Directors, the past presidents, the NASBP staff, and all who attend, network, teach, promote, advocate, listen, enlighten, connect, lead, and volunteer. You power NASBP to be better and to Build Better.
Please enjoy a wonderful holiday season, and I look forward to seeing you at NASBP events in the new year. Kind regards,
Robert Coon
