Level II

Level II is intended for the bond producer/underwriter/account manager with one to six years of experience. The curriculum includes intensive training in: contractor profiling, detailed financial analysis, concepts and effective practices of account activation and service, claims handling, industry marketplace changes, and ethics. The week-long school emphasizes the relationship between the producer, surety, and contractor, techniques of gathering information about the contractor and preparation of the case submission to the surety. The curriculum culminates in a real-time, interactive case presentation, causing students to draw on concepts, applications, and methodologies presented during the entire program.

This course is rated "intermediate." It is intended for the student who has a basic knowledge with the subject matter or who has limited experience with the subject matter.

Priority Registration for NASBP members, affiliates and associates for the Summer 2017 Session, to be held July 31-Aug. 4 in Dallas is now open in February.

Registration costs $1,895 for members, associates and affiliates. Register now. 

Non-member registration costs $3,790 and will open in late Spring 2017.

Please note: Registration is not considered complete until the fee is paid and the student information survey is complete. This short survey is designed to gauge each participant’s level of surety knowledge and help our Surety School faculty tailor each class to the participants. It is not a test. It should be emailed to the Professional Development Department at prodev@nasbp.org no later than July 10, 2017.

All cancellations must be sent in writing to NASBP at mthomas@nasbp.org or via fax at (202) 686-3656. For a full refund, a written cancellation must be received 30 calendar days prior to the start of the event. Cancellations received between 15 - 29 days prior to the event are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations received in less than 15 calendar days prior to the event are not eligible for refunds. All refunds will be issued by check and a 5% processing fee will be deducted from purchases made with a credit card.

Continuing Education Credits

The William J. Angell Surety School - Level II has been approved by the state insurance/financial services department/commissioner/continuing education committee in each state for the amount of Property/Casualty Insurance continuing education credits listed below.

In order to receive credits, students must sign in at the beginning of each day's class and sign out at the end of each day's class. Students must attend all 5 days' classes in order to receive the credits; no partial credit is awarded. There is no a final exam. If you plan to request Continuing Education (CE) credits, please do not book an airline flight before 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.
