Welcome

NASBP 2020 Annual Meeting & Expo

The NASBP 2020 Annual Meeting & EXPO has been CANCELLED

The Broadmoor

Colorado Springs, CO

March 20, 2020

The NASBP leadership and staff have been monitoring the developing situations surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic daily. The current environment of medical and governmental health advisories, governmental and corporate travel restrictions, the overwhelming closure of certain essential services, and The Broadmoor Resort’s closure through the end of May 2020 has made it impossible for the NASBP to move forward with its 2020 Annual Meeting & Expo.  Therefore, It is with great disappointment to announce the 2020 Annual Meeting & Expo has been cancelled, and there are no plans for a rescheduled date of the event due to the uncertainty of the next several months regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please note that NASBP will seek to reframe its 2020 regional meetings scheduled in September to permit enhanced content and networking events, and we urge that you consider attending your regional meeting should the pandemic situation moderate and large gatherings become advisable.

Annual Meeting and Expo registration fees will be refunded by NASBP, but we ask for your patience due to the quantity of transactions that need to be processed. If you made hotel reservations in the NASBP hotel room block, the hotel will automatically cancel your hotel reservation.

We are planning certain contingencies to deliver some of the originally planned valuable content for the 2020 Annual Meeting & Expo to our community via our established communication channels, including our NASBP Virtual Seminars, NASBP Blogs, Pipeline e-newsletter, NASBP SmartBrief, and our new podcast series, Let’s Get Surety. COVID-19 resources already have been highlighted in the most recent Virtual Seminar, on the NASBP.ORG coronavirus resource page, and in recent issues of NASBP SmartBrief, and there is more to come.

We know that this is a challenging and unprecedented time for you professionally and personally. NASBP also has taken steps to ensure the safety and welfare of its staff through work from home arrangements. Nonetheless, we do not anticipate any disruption in services to members and to the public. Please stay safe and healthy!

1_John_N_Bustard_prefers_1G7A0650_small.jpgDear Surety Friends,

We are very excited about our upcoming National Association of Surety Bond Producers Annual Meeting & Expo that will be held May 17-20 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. It is a first-class resort in a picturesque setting that, based on our theme this year, “Make Every Minute Count,” offers not only an opportunity to expand your knowledge on several subjects important to thriving in our industry, but ample networking time to continue developing the strong personal and business relationships that are an essential component of our business.

We will kick off the meeting on Sunday evening with a welcome reception that will feature a little flavor from my home state of Hawaii. You will experience a few other touches of the Aloha State throughout the meeting’s events, as we bring the warm hospitality and atmosphere of the islands to the mountains of Colorado.

Our Tuesday evening closing event will be held in a rustic lodge located a short shuttle ride from the main hotel with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. In keeping with the theme of the final event in Austin last year, it will be relaxed and casual. There will be outdoor fire pits, indoor lounge areas, plenty of food, Colorado thirst quenchers, and lively entertainment.

Now is the time to register using the Online registration form. We’ll keep you informed with periodic updates as we get closer to the event.

Susie and I are looking forward to seeing you in May!

John Bustard, NASBP President
