Message From Our President
Dear Surety Friends,
NASBP is excited to return to the historic Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, CO for the 2026 Annual Meeting & Expo. This will be the first time back at this popular location since 2016, and I know this property is near and dear to many members. You’re in for a treat since The Broadmoor has updated and renovated many of your favorite hangouts. We’re expecting another record-breaking turnout.
I’m looking forward to seeing you at The Broadmoor and sharing how we’ve been Building Better all year. The NASBP’s educational offering, partnerships with other trade organizations, legislative and regulatory activism, and other initiatives are helping to build a better surety industry. The work we’re doing today is laying the foundation for a stronger NASBP for tomorrow.
Chair Nick Newton along with the entire 2026 Annual Meeting Program Committee have put together meeting sessions to keep you informed of what is in the present and future of the industry. Surety is all about relationships—they’ve set up some unique social events to help you develop deeper relationships with your industry partners. Please take a moment to review the agenda on the website and in the preliminary eBrochure to see what is planned.
The meeting kicks off on Sunday where we can experience the great outdoors and natural beauty of Colorado. For those who enjoyed The Broadmoor in 2016, you’ll remember that Colorado Springs in May can have four seasons of weather in a day. There will be outdoor space for the Sunday Welcome Reception, but we’ve got that covered with plenty of room to mix ‘n mingle in the comfort of the adjacent Rocky Mountain Ballroom if the weather turns. The NASBP Golf Tournament returns for 2026, to be held on the two iconic courses of The Broadmoor Golf Club set in the foothills of the Cheyenne Mountains. For those who opt out of golf, there will also be an additional Tuesday afternoon optional event for your entertainment. A free Texas Hold ‘Em-Themed Tournament, all skill levels welcome.
The Tuesday night final event is not to be missed and just a quick shuttle ride up the mountain to the Broadmoor’s Cheyenne Mountain Lodge. This unique rustic venue will host a casual event with live entertainment, firepits, a beer garden featuring local brews, whiskey tasting, and unparalleled views of the city below.
Now is the time to register and secure your hotel accommodations. A link to the online registration form as well as information on the host resort and additional hotel options can be found on this website. We’ll keep you informed with periodic updates as we get closer to the event.
Therese & I can’t wait to get back to The Broadmoor and meet up with old friends and new at The Golden Bee. Hope to see you there!
Best Regards,
Robert Coon
NASBP President
