Earlier this month NASBP congratulated Erin Collins, Underwriter with Zurich North America in New York, NY, for her achievement in receiving the Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB) Distinguished Graduate Award of which NASBP is a cosponsor.

The Award is given by the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (AICPCU) and the Insurance Institute of America (IIA) jointly known as the Institutes, that provides insurance education and training for property-casualty insurance and risk management including the AFSB curriculum. “The Institutes’ Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding designation program builds a strong foundation of knowledge in fidelity and surety bonding principles and practices,” said Michael W. Elliott, CPCU, AIAF, senior director of knowledge resources for The Institutes. “Program participants also gain an overall understanding of insurance operations and regulation, so that they can better serve their clients’ needs.”

Of the more than 11,000 people who earned an AICPCU/IIA designation last year, Collins is one of the more than 30 being recognized for exceptional academic achievement. Collins obtained the highest cumulative grade average on the AFSB degree’s exams. She will receive a plaque and a monetary award from the cosponsors of the award, NASBP and The Surety & Fidelity Association of America.
