It is with great sadness that NASBP announces the passing of Daniel Joseph Higgins, 70, of Windermere, Florida on July 12, 2026. For 14 years Dan was NASBP’s official photographer of the NASBP Annual Meeting & Expo. He started working for NASBP at the 2012 NASBP Annual Meeting & Expo in Orlando, Florida and photographed NASBP’s Annual Meetings for the next consecutive 14 years, including this year’s Meeting in Colorado Springs, CO. As NASBP members came to know Dan throughout the years, they were charmed by his wit, sense of fun, and warmth, all the while providing NASBP and its members memorable photographs of NASBP presentations, award recognitions, and evening entertainment events.
Because the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, NASBP has provided a memorial contribution in Dan’s name to the American Cancer society. Others may wish to do the same.
The NASBP Leadership and staff extend their deepest condolences to Dan’s family and friends.
