PipelinecvrNASBP15AnnlmtgNASBP invites everyone attending the 2015 NASBP Annual Meeting & Expo to bring their family members and guests to attend the Monday, April 20, General Session beginning at 8 a.m. to hear Keynote Speaker Vice Admiral David Buss, U.S. Navy (Retired), former commander of the Naval Air Forces. It is our honor to hear from the Navy’s sixth “Air Boss,” whose distinguished Navy career spanned nearly four decades and included combat.

Vice Admiral Buss’ flying assignments included many U.S. aircraft carrier-based squadron tours. As a flag officer, Buss served 14 months in Baghdad, Iraq. In addition, he commanded Carrier Strike Group 12, USS Enterprise Carrier Strike Group, and commanded Task Force 20 while also serving as deputy commander, U.S. Fleet Forces command in Norfolk, Virginia.

Prior to Buss’ speech, NASBP will have a special briefing from Sergeant Major Frank Pulley, U.S. Marine Corps (Retired), who will be representing “Hiring Our Heroes.” During his 30-year career, Sergeant Major Pulley served in the Corps’ most senior enlisted rank and billet for more than 10 years. As Sergeant Major, 1st Marine Division, he commanded over 22,000 active duty personnel. Sergeant Major Pulley founded Military Veteran Solutions to help reduce the overall unemployment, under-employment and homelessness rates of our nation’s military veterans and serves as an advisor for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes program.

Plan to visit the Blue Angels Exhibit Booth and speak with Rear Admiral H. Denny Wisely, U.S. Navy (Retired), who will explain ways for you to help support our former military who have so bravely served and sacrificed for our country. Rear Admiral Wisely’s 33 years of service includes amazing aviation feats, including 350 combat missions while serving three Vietnam tours. One among many of his high-ranking leadership roles was Commander and Flight Leader of the Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron.

We encourage you to stay for the “Why You Succeed” presentation by Jerry Lujan, who will provide information you can use in all facets of your personal and professional life.

We look forward to seeing you in San Diego at the NASBP Annual Meeting & Expo and hope you will bring the whole family to this special General Session. For more information, visit www.nasbp.org.
