On October 1, NASBP Immediate Past President Robert Coon of Scott Insurance presented at the Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) Annual Conference to promote the Make Surety a Career Program.
GIS is a collegiate organization for students interested in careers in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science. The Annual Conference is an important event for students and faculty in these disciplines, connecting them with leading employers and industry insiders.

Coon’s presentation introduced attendees to NASBP, discussed what surety is, and highlighted the free Make Surety a Career Program, which offers teaching materials on surety for college/university faculty and a free, online course for college students interested in learning more. He gave out Make Surety a Career Program flyers and pens to faculty that attended.
