NASBP Past President Todd Loehnert, Bond Manager David Walla of Travelers Bond, and NASBP Director of Government Relations Larry LeClair provided insights to the surety market by participating on a panel at the Ohio Valley Construction (OVC) Conference.

The Conference, sponsored by five chapters of Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants (KYCPA), and the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Kentucky, was held in late September in Elizabeth, IN Near Louisville, KY.

Loehnert, Walla, and LeClair discussed prevailing trends in the surety and construction industries and examined the impact of the economy on the surety market. Also, the panelists identified current legislative challenges facing the industry at the state and federal level.
