NASBP SuretyPAC Supports Strong Candidates for CongressSuretyPAC

NASBP SuretyPAC officers approved contributions to the following five U.S. Congressional candidates in the third quarter of 2012:

  • U.S. Representative Brian Phillip Bilbray (R-CA 52nd), an incumbent seeking reelection to his 8th, term who serves on the Energy & Commerce Committee;
  • U.S. Representative Duncan Hunter (R-CA 50th), an incumbent seeking reelection to his third term, who serves on the Armed Services, Education & Workforce, and Transportation & Infrastructure Committees;
  • U.S. Representative Howard Coble (R-NC 6th), an incumbent seeking reelection to his 15th term, who serves on the Judiciary Committee and the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee as well as Chairs the Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Commercial and Administrative Law, which NASBP testified this year on H.R. 3534;
  • U.S. Representative Tom Griffin (R-AR 2nd), an incumbent seeking reelection to his second term, who serves on the Armed Services, Foreign Affairs and Judiciary Committees; and
  • U.S. Representative Bobby Schilling (R-IL17th), an incumbent seeking reelection to his second term, who serves on the House Small Business, Armed Services, and Agriculture Committees and has co-sponsored legislation that provides the Small Business Administration with the authority to oversee the 13 current mentor-protégé agreements.

In 2013, NASBP staff will continue to identify and foster relationships with members of Congress who NASBP believes will have an impact on the industry.
