NASBP Small & Emerging Business Meeting at Annual Meeting–Come Join Us!
For those attending the Annual Meeting at the Broadmoor, please plan to attend the NASBP Committee meetings on Saturday, May 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. to learn about the numerous activities and initiatives being undertaken by the membership and staff. Many of the membership may have an interest in learning about NASBP’s newest Committee, the NASBP Small and Emerging Business Committee, which will hold its meeting from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the West Ballroom A. NASBP has secured two speakers that will discuss the Surety & Fidelity Association of America (SFAA) and United States Department of Transportation (DOT) Bonding Education Program (BEP) of which NASBP is a participatory organization. Speaking on behalf of DOT will be Lavonna Stathes, Project Director for the Small Business Transportation Resource Center, and Lynn Schubert, President of the Surety & Fidelity Association of America (SFAA).
Stathes will address the Denver DOT Bonding Education Program that is currently underway, while Schubert will speak on the history of the Bonding Education Programs and the Program specifics. Surety professionals who would like to become involved in the BEP are invited to join this meeting to learn how to provide their services to advance the bonding knowledge and education of small businesses. Surety professionals who have had the opportunity to participate in the BEP in the past are invited to share advice for those who will be participating or considering to participate in the BEP for the first time.
