ConsensusDOCS to Release 11 New Standard Form Documents Including a Federal Subcontract
A new subcontract for federal work, ConsensusDOCS™ 752, Subcontract for Federal Government Construction Projects, is scheduled to be released along with 10 other new documents near the end of May.NASBP, one of the endorsing members of the ConsensusDOCS coalition, believes that the new federal Subcontract, 752, will be helpful to many contractors subcontractors who are pursuing federal work, because the new standard form includes provisions that address new changes to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) including requirements for electronic employment verification, prompt payment, ethics, and flow down of responsibility to the subcontractor tier.

NASBP First Vice President Todd Loehnert said, “The ConsensusDOCS 752 will help contractors and subcontractors be in compliance, especially for those that are doing public work for the first time and that may not be familiar with all that is entailed in performing federal work.”

The 11 new ConsensusDOCS documents that will be released late next month include:

  • ConsensusDOCS 752, Subcontract for Federal Government Construction Projects
  • ConsensusDOCS 725, Agreement Between Subcontractor and Subsubcontractor
  • ConsensusDOCS 235, Owner-Contractor (Cost of the Work) Agreement
  • ConsensusDOCS 781, Certificate of Substantial Completion for a Subcontract
  • ConsensusDOCS 782, Certificate of Final Completion for a Subcontract
  • ConsensusDOCS 812, Trade Contract Interim Directed Change
  • ConsensusDOCS 813, Trade Contract Change Order
  • ConsensusDOCS 814, Certificate of Substantial Completion of the Trade Contract Work
  • ConsensusDOCS 815, Certificate of Final Completion of the Trade Contract Work
  • ConsensusDOCS 481, Certificate of Substantial Completion for Design-Build Work
  • ConsensusDOCS 482, Certificate of Final Completion for Design-Build Work

“With this May release of these 11 new ConsensusDOCS Documents, ConsensusDOCS demonstrates how ConsensusDOCS continues to represent the most comprehensive library of industry-produced standard forms, including bond forms,” Loehnert said. “NASBP plans to continue to participate in this effort and to maintain its “seat at the table” as these and other forms are revised and delivered,” he added.
