Register for Fall, Winter NASBP Virtual Seminars

One of the many NASBP benefits available to the NASBP membership is access to the NASBP Virtual Seminars that provide a current perspective on a wide range of timely surety industry topics. The Virtual Seminars inform, challenge, alert, and inspire NASBP members, affiliates and associates, their staff, colleagues, and clients. Here are how a few participants described the Virtual Seminars NASBP held recently.

Kathy Foreit of Marsh USA, Inc. said the April 8, presentation on international surety placement by Nate Zangerle and Nick Kim offered valuable information. “The best presentation!,” said Foreit. “I needed the information provided and will be able to increase what I know on this important subject!”

Bill Davis of Payne West Insurance, who is in his 50th year of surety underwriting/producing and just turned 75, said he appreciated the May 6, presentation on federal small business programs and the False Claims Act presented by Thomas Kelleher and Steven Reed.

“The topic is timely as I have an SBA mentor situation underway,” Davis said. “The material was excellent and the presenters were clear, concise, and, obviously, knowledgeable.” “Keep this quality of seminar coming, we are never too old to learn,” Davis added. “The times are changing, and we must keep up to speed with these changes.”

Jeff Brown of Garrett-Stotz Company said that the May 20, Virtual Seminar, “How Even Good Contractors Sometimes Fail,” presented by Gary Dunbar and David Kitchin benefited several with his firm. “I thought the experience shared by Gary and David was excellent information,” Brown said, “This was good for our younger producers and a reminder to all of us to pay attention to our clients.”

They are not alone. Other Virtual Seminar participants have described how they have gained insight and practical strategies from participating in the NASBP Virtual Seminars. Why not join them and register for a NASBP Virtual Seminar, and remember to pose questions to the presenters to allow this great educational resource to bring you and your firm a wealth of information. Each Virtual Seminar is about 50 minutes in length and held twice a month, usually on a Tuesday at 2 p.m. Eastern Time.
