The New England Aquarium, founded on the city’s waterfront, emphasizes a more natural setting for aquatic life including a four-story giant ocean tank and a Caribbean coral reef. The complex provides more than 70 exhibits featuring aquatic animals from around the world including African penguins, cownose ray, Northern fur seals and Atlantic harbor seals. The Freedom Trail offers a 2.5-mile redbrick walking trail that leads to 16 nationally significant historic sites, every one an authentic American treasure. The Trail provides a rich history of America’s Revolution offering the events that led up to the historic break from Britain and the brave people who shaped our national government. The Trail is a unique collection of museums, churches, meetinghouses, burying grounds, parks, a ship, and historic markers that tell the story of the American Revolution and beyond.
Boston Common is the oldest public park in the history of the USA, dating back to 1634, when the area was designated a common pasture. It serves as a public park for recreational purposes and is bordered by Beacon Hill, the Public Garden, and downtown. It is littered with historical monuments and home to one of Boston’s oldest graveyards, the Central Burying Ground, with graves of many British and American casualties from the Battle of Bunker Hill in 1775. The Frog Pond is popular with children who can wade through the pond during summertime.

Even though NASBP has a block of rooms available at the special NASBP group rate, these rooms could sell out before the hotel room cut-off date of Monday, June 27. Room reservations are held on a first-come, first-served basis, and NASBP cannot guarantee an accommodation once the room block is sold out. To avoid disappointment and not getting a room, call now to reserve your hotel room. A one-night deposit is required at time of making the reservation. This deposit will not be refunded if the reservation is cancelled less than 48 hours prior to check-in.
